If you like action, adventure and abominable snowmen...then this is a film for you.
Truly for the hardcore Mummy fans I think, this movie offered fights and frights, and although certified 12A is a flick all the family can enjoy.
Some scenes could be a bit disturbing for younger children, but the Mummy 3 offers the same moments of slapstick comedy and magnificent fight scenes, this time combined with Jet Li's martial arts, as the previous two films.
I went along to the Picturehouse at FACT in Liverpool with my dad who is a big fan of the first two films.
Brendan Fraser reprises his role as tomb-rading Rick O'Connell alongside wife Evelyn who is played by Mario Bella rather than Rachel Weisz this time around with comic relief John Hannah returning as Evie's bumbling brother.
This time they all join son Alex (Luke Ford) who is tricked into unearthing the Dragon Emperor (Jet Li) who awakes from a 2,000-year-old curse cast by witch Michelle Yeoh and threatens to take over the world.
Lots of fireworks and big CG tracking battle scenes, reminiscent of the first two films.
But for me, it was a bit lacklustre and featured a plot that had been done before.
The only consolation I suppose is an okay fight sequence between Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh.
Best wait until it comes out on DVD.

Hi Gemma,
My friend and I enjoyed this movie although the first is still the best. we weren't expecting the yeti and although they're really silly we loved them.
Have you seen The Scorpion King? It's a Mummy spin off and I really liked it.
