The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon Emperor

Posted by Gemma Jaleel on August 8, 2008 12:07 PM

If you like action, adventure and abominable snowmen...then this is a film for you.

Truly for the hardcore Mummy fans I think, this movie offered fights and frights, and although certified 12A is a flick all the family can enjoy.

Some scenes could be a bit disturbing for younger children, but the Mummy 3 offers the same moments of slapstick comedy and magnificent fight scenes, this time combined with Jet Li's martial arts, as the previous two films.

The Skeleton Key...scary stuff!

Posted by Gemma Jaleel on August 7, 2008 4:22 PM

I found The Skeleton Key on DVD in Tesco's bargain shelf and snapped it up for £4.

I'd seen the movie before and I thought I had the whole plot pretty much down until the end, where I got the shock of my life at the twist - I hadn't seen that coming!

The film was released in 2005 and is set in New Orleans, Louisiana, one of the places in the world, which fascinates me most.

I love all of the French history and architecture associated with but in particular the religion of voodoo which developed there.

Killing is my business - and business is good!

Posted by Terry Owen on August 1, 2008 11:18 AM

BE honest with yourself, you like a bit of murder, don't you? The thrill of a cat and mouse chase culminating in a bloody demise, the sheer joy of seeing a group of unwitting teens being picked off one by one by an axe-wielding maniac or a dark destroyer, praying on his victims with timing and precision.
