Finally what all women have been waiting for - SATC is back!
I fell in love with Carrie and the gang from the very beginning. Having read the book by Candace Bushnell, I indulged myself in the TV show.
So, after watching seasons one to six of my special shoebox edition and re-living every detail, I set off to the cinema.
I chose the Vue in Southport to wave farewell to my four girlfriends Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, in this final chapter of friendship and sisterhood.
I have felt every heartbreak, betrayal, celebration and shoe strain with them - and I was ready to do it all over again.
I went with my cousin and best friend Rani and as we plied ourselves with Ben and Jerry's, I prepared myself for the surprises and mishaps to come.
Put it this way - I was crying as soon as the opening titles began.
Just seeing them explain the story so far and with Fergie's vocals over the top of a remix of SATC's theme tune, I couldn't help myself - the girls were back.
And as the story unfolds we catch up with the girls four years after Big told Carrie in Paris that she is the ONE.
Carrie is a successful author, Sam is still with Smith, Miranda is enjoying life in Brooklyn with Brady and Steve, and Charlotte and Harry have their own adopted daughter, Lily.
After going between each other's apartments Big and Carrie decide to get married and get an apartment together. But will everything work out for the happy couple?
The film is full of brilliant one-liners, embarrassing situations (Charlotte poops her pants) but is also packed with absolutely heart-wrenching, soul-destroying, agonising scenes of heartbreak.
Put it this way Rani and I were sobbing our hearts out at one point. A few girls in front of us kept looking at us as if we were mad - we decided they weren't big enough SATC fans.
Both of us lost ourselves in the plot and unlike many films which have made the transition from TV to silver screen and failed, this delivered far beyond my expectations.
Rumours are already circulating about whether a sequel will be filmed. For now, I'll have to wait for the movie to come out on DVD.
And if the sequel is released - will I be there?
Absolutely!
